Looks like I’m not “man” enough for some humans. From the “Contact” section of this blog:

You little shit,
YOU asked Apple for a job, and you chose to stay employed all the while-
HATING the establishment. Stop making excuses for your lazy, no work ethic having ass. It doesn’t take a very smart person to sit in front of a computer and write a slew of shit.
Don’t call your efforts “environmentalist”….your lazy.
You fucking eat McDonalds?! They single handedly changed the way food is grown in our country, idiot.
It’s ok if you don’t care about materialistic excesses.
Mikey, your too smart for own good. Grow up and be a man.

@Take A Wild Guess, From your IP address it is likely that we worked together at the Apple store in Glendale. You are a coward for not posting your real name. What are you afraid of? Why didn’t you just email me and tell me how you feel? Why on the “Contact” section of my blog?

As for “work ethics,” wage slaves don’t have work ethics, they stab each other in the back until one of them gets ahead and the entire company pays for it in the end. You’ve likely never worked anywhere that implements a non-hierarchical management system that rewards cooperative behaivior. I hope you become inspired to try that some day.

Anyway, you’d be proud, I gave up McDonalds, and chicken, beef, and pork. I realized that my political a philosophical beliefs dictated that I had no choice but to change my diet. My friends at Food not Bombs and my roommates were truly inspirational in that decision and I hope to become vegan someday. I’d recommend a book on McDonalds’ historical relationship with American agriculture, but I think the movie might be more up your alley.

One last thing, you’re too ignorant for your own good, and that’s proabably why you still work at an Apple store. It does take an informed and educated human to sit in front of a computer and exchange symbolic experiences in the form of written language in a communicable and creative way. And frankly, I take your last comment about “being a man” as sexist and insensitive.

From my post about friends getting fired at Apple:

Guess what – I loved my store… I OPENED the place… and I just got canned for BS reasons and quite possibly have enough to sue for EEOC violations and discrimination. It went to crap when new managers were brought in to backfill for our SM who was promoted. Apple Retail seems to be absorbing the bad habits of Target, Old Navy, Gap, and other less-desirable retailers. I suspect I was a target because I was making way took much per hour (approx 1.5x what they were offering new hires). I started at corporate… wish I had stayed there.

and to all the abusive, rude, self-entitled a-hole customers out there – won’t miss you a bit and hope that iPhone you bought your 2 year-old to teethe on gives you cancer…

— and one more thing — Apple Retail loves to violate federal labor laws – I didn’t get properly scheduled breaks and lunch periods for 85% of my shifts… and to think I was honestly trying to give our customers the best service possible… over 2+ years, Apple Retail owes me over 160 hours of extra compensation for all of the break periods I never got and the lunches cut short or constantly interrupted.
