So I found a post on Neatorama (which linked the story to Gizmodo of all blogs) about the SkyWalker tall bike that anyone who is anyone has already seen around the Internet. Anyway, when you follow the echo chamber of links back to the source you find Instructables DIY tall bike project and Atomic Zombie’s beautiful freak bicycle gallery.
I wanted to ride each one of these so bad, here are some of my favorite bicycles from Atomic Zombie’s site:
This bike seems like one of the most rickety. The back two thirds of the bike seem to be built out of wood and pieces from an erector set, and the front third is just the back half of a road bike!
There’s nothing like a skateboard for a seat to give you the itchy assholes. Gotta love the disc wheels?!
A classy looking well built tall bike? It doesn’t look like the derailleur is functional, and who needs breaks on a tall bike?
Not big enough.
Cool bike, nice shades, narc.

Those are some freaky bikes all right. My favorite is the yellow recumbent trike, although I would love to test ride that tall bike.
